'The Friends of Foothills Park meet regularly to wage war on invasive weeds, every Sunday morning at 9:00 AM for several hours until about noon. All are welcome to help, no experience needed.

9 AM on March 14, 2010 in the Orchard Glen parking area in Foothills Park.

'You already will have turned your clocks ahead one hour because this is the day Daylight Savings Time begins. At 9 we will gather briefly to discuss our future plans before we start work.

'Then the day\'s project will take us to Vista Hill. Most of you remember the dense Italian thistle plot just off the loop road around Vista Hill at the point where a short trail takes off to a bench. We have a lot of milk thistle to remove there! And we will check the top of Vista Hill inside the loop road plus the general area for both Italian thistle and yellow starthistle.

'The City of Palo Alto requires all volunteers to complete and sign a volunteer identification form and a waiver form before starting work.

If you are a minor under 18, a parent or guardian must sign both the volunteer identification form and the minor waiver form before you come to the park.',

'If you are
under 18, you need a signed Minor Waiver Form and and a signed Volunteer Identification Form. Both forms must be signed by your parent or guardian before you come to the park. You must have those signed forms with you or you will not be allowed to work in Foothills Park with Friends of Foothills Park.

18 or over you need the Adult Waiver Form and the Volunteer Identification Form. You can fill out those forms yourself either before you come or when we meet, on forms we can provide.
